I have been teaching at ŠMVV Praha as a Part-time teacher for the last 5 years. Earlier I worked at this school for almost 20 years as a Full-time teacher before going on retirement. I had also worked in Libya for 5 years as a teacher. Currently I am teaching General English, Professional English and preparing students for Graduation Exams through Seminar work.
I enjoy engaging and motivating students to learn a foreign language helping them to develop their knowledge, skills and understanding of a different language and culture. Teaching is a challenging and rewarding job. It is a hard work though, and requires a lot of energy and commitment to do the job properly but on the whole it’s fulfilling when you help youngsters to leave school with good grades after graduation exams and know they have a future.
I am actively involved in coordinating Erasmus+ projects at our school where students not only have the opportunity of developing their communication and presentation skills, but also improving their language, visiting new countries, meeting, working and building new friendships with students from various other countries having different habits, cultures and traditions – hence a greater openness to social and cultural diversity.
I also like travelling, browsing the internet, watching TV news – particularly current political events at home and abroad and spending time with my family and friends.
